Variable base`Const`

base: { "": string } & { readonly [key: string]: string } = ...

Base namespace for local resources.

An open Namespace rooted at the synthetic base:/ origin, minting absolute IRIs for local resources that have no deployment origin of their own. Terms are appended to the fragment component, so generated IRIs are "hierarchical" identifiers sharing the base:/ root and resolving relative references against it.

As base: IRIs carry no authority component, internalize and relativize return root-relative paths for them, rather than the path-relative references they return for schemes with an authority, such as http:.

Provisional IANA registration of the base URI scheme under RFC 7595 is pending as [IANA #1462001].
